having the same problem with my ionic as most folks.unresponsive but however the green light at the rear is flashing and ionic is still syncing.is my ionic dead or is there a magic way of getting it back to life.any help appreciated

Have you tried factory resetting the Ionic?
This can be done by pressing and holding the 3 buttons until watch displays Fitbit logo, then release buttons. It should work, as a friend of mine had similar issues as you and it's been working fine since.

Usually if I reset my phone to that works too reconnect my ionic
