I bought an Ionic as un upgrade from my original Flex. The Flex was great but finally got to the point where it would barely hold a charge anymore. I purchased the Ionic because the feature sets for the in-between models were sporadic and I wanted the HR Monitor and for it to be water-resistant.
I've been dealing with setting this thing up for the better part of two days and I have to tell you I am not impressed. It's like there was no system review before release and the manual is super insufficient. There is little, to no, information on setting up the device when you have an existing device and it took me a bit to figure out that I had to delete the old Flex to help with sync issues. I have to do this from my phone because I can't download a mac version of the software for the watch. I also had to delete the Ionic from my iPad because, evidently, you can't have it synced to both your iPad and iPhone. Interesting because my Flex was.
Now I am dealing with the thing losing sync continually. The watch actually deleted itself from my iPhone devices now it will not find the watch. Seriously, this is pretty ridiculous. I buy tech to make my life easier and do not have time to spend hours getting a device set up that should be fairly simple. If I can't resolve these issue by tomorrow morning I am going to return the produce and be done with Fitbit. A quick search on line shows that these are typical problems and it is my bad for purchasing a product without doing enough research to see if it warranted the $300 price tag.

Hey there @JaimAndrew, it's nice to have you around! Are you still having issues syncing your Ionic? keep in mind that syncing difficulty is usually caused by a missing requirement. Verify each requirement before moving on to the troubleshooting steps.
If your device still won't sync, try these steps:
Also, I thank you for the thorough feedback for the Fitbit platform and devices. This has not gone unnoticed and be sure that I will pass this along. The manual for Ionic can be found here and the Ionic Help Forums by clicking here.
Give this a shot and let me know how it goes!
