Hi All,
after a week of messing around with iffy music control on my phone, patchy (that's being kind) synchronisation and horrible battery drain on the phone by the Fitbit application I am back to using my Gear S3. (Yes I tried all the troubleshooting steps.)
I am not getting rid of the Ionic, it has a lot of potential and is a nice piece of kit, rather I am waiting for Fitbit to get their act together and release stable and reliable software.
This maybe 3 months, it maybe 6, but in my opinion for a lot of average consumers this type of experience will put them off the brand and at £300 for the watch it is not something I think they can afford.

Fitbit released a firmware update today. I am updating now. Some have said it includes an app store. We'll see.

Well updated the Firmware to the one released yesterday, connection and synchronisation seems to be a lot better so the S3 is back in the drawer again.
Notifications alternate from spot on to delayed on occasion but that not a deal breaker.
Since the update the battery usage (on my phone) by the application dropped immensely, though FitBit is still showing as one of the highest consumers, though I have since disabled all day synch to see if that makes a difference.
