Just received Ionic in mail. It will not synch through Bluetooth on my Window 10 computer. Nor will it synch with my phone (the app only goes up to my old Surge [which I want to replace because: strap broke years ago, watch synchs when it feels like it, & the battery life is zip - gps is good for 30 min.]). I have tried all the attempts at Ionic setup, followed all the steps of turning things on & off, & the blessed thing will not synch. the Ionic through Bluetooth (WI-FI is not accessible at this computer). FitBit knows that the watch is there, as it, miraculously, shows up on the web site. So, how fouled up is that? I chose the Ionic, as I like the FitBit interface & I have all my 4 year history in it.
Maybe I should just return it & go to Garmin, since it appears this is a common problem with this watch, &, in looking at this blog, FitBit has not responded well to its customers.

Welcome to the Community @FitPenguin. Thanks for the detailed information provided. I appreciate the troubleshooting tried.
Sorry to hear that you're experiencing this with your Ionic. I know you probably tried some of the steps mentioned in the following articles but I would like you to make sure you followed each step in this article to set it up. If you're having issues then try the procedure mentioned in this article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?
Let me know how it goes. I'll be around if you need further assistance.

I tried all of the things on the several lists. In addition, I tried restarting & troubleshooting Bluetooth (which only has minor problems pairing with Surge). The computer is a Windows 10 & fully updated. Finally, I uninstalled the FitBit app & downloaded the latest version (looks the same) from the Microsoft store. Surge connected, Ionic did not, though the app realizes that it is there, & tells me that there is an update awaiting to be installed. After many tries to pair, statement from the app tells me: "Bonding failed. Restart the app to try again. True, pairing result: False" tried that, too. Bluetooth says the Ionic is recognized, but never completely pairs with Bluetooth. Since Surge pairs properly, I take it that this Ionic has an internal problem with pairing. Any other ideas? Or, should I just return it for a refund?
