Fitbit probably won't like this post but you should be aware there are 2 new versions of firmware out there for the Ionic. The 27.32.10.15 you get with the update notice and the 27.32.10.20 version some of us have gotten by removing the Ionic in our app, performing a factory reset on the Ionic and than setting it up as a new device. The 32.10.20 version works very well for me but as is always the case use at your own peril. I still don't understand why Fitbit is giving newer firmware to new users and the longer time users have to settle for an older version in the update.

I had a message on the Android app on my Samsung 5 that new firmware was available. Then it immediately started to update. But after about 10 minutes, and apparently nearing completion, it went to a screen that said it failed so I should use Bluetooth to update. I did that and after only a few seconds the app said the update was successful. But the Fitbit logo screen was still going on the watch with no apparent way to stop it. So I restarted the watch. Then both the app and the watch said that version 27.32.10.20 was installed and everything seemed to work. I had a similar experience when I installed 27.32.10.15; although that time the app never did indicate a successful update.

Does the software update fix this maddening notifications issue so many of us are having? How can I get it if I havent gotten the notice yet?
