I am a long time Fitbit user, started with flex1, charge, surge, Alta and now Ionic. Because of back issues, I run on an outdoor track. I'm not a very fast runner but have improved my speed over the past few years. It is beyond frustrating the Ionic doesn't offer a comparable "lap run" feature the Surge offers. When I go for a run I dust off my old Surge so I can track 1/4 mile laps. I wish I could use Ionic for lap runs, listening to music, not having to bring my phone along for the run. I have tried various workarounds but struggling to understand why the same lap run functionality cannot be added to the Ionic. Am I asking for too much?

Strangely the function 1/4 miles is not included in the running option but if you choose km then you can select 0.4 km that is equivalent to one full round on the track aka 1/4 miles. Problem is that you then will have all your paces in min/km.
