No Option to allow text & phone message on Ionic

I have read and watched several message boards and videos about how to set up notifications for texts and phone calls on my Fitbit Ionic. There is NO, I repeat, NO option to receive texts and phone calls on my watch through the app or the watch. I clicked on the "my account" icon and then selected "Notifications". I scrolled through the list of options, but NOWHERE is there an option to turn on notifications for text and phone calls. There are plenty of other options, such as low battery, Friend requests, cheers & taunts, etc. But no option (i.e. sliding switch) to turn on texts and phone calls. My Fitbit app version is 2.71 and my phone is a LG-6.

Please advise.

fitbit offers two different notification menus.

the one you're referring to is related to your account / social activities / ...

if you click on your watch's icon, you'll get to the page where it starts with last synced, firmware, battery level, clock faces, apps, ...

On that page there's another notifications entry, which is the one you're looking for.

Yes, there is that option, but no matter what I do, I do NOT get any notifications of text messages on my Ionic anymore.  I am WAY BEYOND frustrated that I've spent over an hour on chat/phone call about this issue, only to be told that there will be 'fix' for it in the future.  I really relied on the messages popping up on my Ionic as I get texts from my husband and children during my work day and I can't just glance at my wrist to know if I need to reply soon or not.

VERY IRRITATED!

Before anyone asks, YES, I have done ALL the troubleshooting suggestions as well as gone through them ALL with two different fitbit people, one via chat, one via phone call.

With the new updates my Ionic  stop getting all notifications😵 was told I had to wait for an update so in the meantime it doesn't work other than as a watch and tracking steps, Hr things like that. Not happy at all!

Did you find a solution... I'm the same. Absolutely NO option to receive messages, that was the whole point of me having a fitbit charge 2 as well. It's zero use with out that... if anyone can help if appreciate it... my old cheap non fitbit always worked fine... feeling ripped off now!

no I didn’t find any solutions to this but when they updated the Fitbit last time it now says in the app it only works for androids which I agree it’s a rip off my make up product and tell you it works much better with an iPhone when you don’t work at all with an iPhone yeah pretty **ahem**ty deal send out no resolution .
