No sleep stages

Hi,

is here somebody who is having heart rate problems and sleep stages?

I don't have them since weeks/month. 😞

Fitbit-Support can't help.

I think this is the problem, because I don't have accurate heart beats. 😞

I have to go to my doctor.

Best regards,

Mark

You could be right, but it also might be worth giving your Ionic a restart just in case it is the tracker.  Just hold down the left and bottom right buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds.  The Fitbit logo will appear, signaling a successful restart.

Hi,

yes, I tried that, but didn't help.

Now I have set to beginning the Ionic, and got the new firmware.

I tried the synch today with a Windows 10 Fitbit app, but still no sleep stages.

I tried the other hand, but also no sleep stages.

I learned in the German community that there are some user with also no sleep stages, but they don't have problems with hear rate. And they have accurate heart beats. But no sleep stages.

So I think there must be a problem in the algorithm.

Because I have had a long time the sleep stages and very often we have updates. And one day I checked may sleep and found out: no sleep stages. 😞

Unfortunatly Fitbit-Support can't help.

So I think I have to try tracker from Samsung or Garmin. 😞

Thanky you.

Best regards,

Mark

@Mark2018 I hope you're doing well! Thanks for reporting this. Also, thanks for contacting customer support and for trying all of those steps in order to sort this out.

I'd recommend checking the following that could be preventing you from receiving sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the "Begin Sleep Now" option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed).
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

For more information about why you see your sleep pattern, tap or click the sleep record that shows your sleep pattern.

I did this morning. I noted the start time and end time then deleted it. When I manually logged the same sleep duration my sleep stages showed up.

@Twistedhoney Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Thanks for your reply. I'm very glad to read that it showed sleep stages after manually logging your sleep.

I'm sure this will be helpful for other users who might be experiencing this as well.

Is your Ionic giving sleep stages correctly or do you have to always manually log the activity for them to show?

Thanks for sharing the workaround that helped you out. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy
