Non responsive Ionic Fitbit

My Ionic that I purchased in January 2018 was up until a few days ago working fine.  The only thing I did any different was swim in the ocean very briefly.  I was away from wifi and so didn't sync for about 7 days and then when I was charging it yesterday it suddenly wouldn't respond and now I can't seem to turn it on or off and every now and then the Fitbit icon comes on but thats it.  Anyone had this happen?

Try a restart. Do it at least 3 times.

Maybe put it in Rice for 48 hours will help

If you’ve tried resetting (left and bottom right buttons together for approx 10secs until screen blanks), and tried recharging and nothing works, I’d suggest a call to Customer Services, as it may be a hardware issue requiring a warranty return. If not purchased through Fitbit, then a trip back to place of purchase will be in order.

Thanks, I think it may be that the charging connection on the Fitbit itself is the issue as I bought a new cable and in a good socket it is not showing any charging.
