Hi, I just got the Ionic. Am using Tom Tom, where I need to set the type of activity I'm doing, such as running. For Ionic (or Fitbit), seems like I don't need to set? It automatically picks up if I'm running or otherwise? Also, I noticed it said GPS not activated. Does it mean it won't activate for 10 min (time I set) until the watch starts recording it as a run?

Welcome to the community, @Bobbyliu! Your Ionic can autodetect some activities, but you can also manually start and end them, specifying the activity in question. GPS won’t be used for autodetected activities: you need to start an activity (e.g. Walk, Run etc.) for the built-in GPS to kick in.

Thanks Dom, for the reply...am still setting up the watch (had to reboot). Previously, when I click the exercise app, nothing comes up. Guess I'll figure out once it's all set up. Thanks again.

You should see up to 6 exercise types (you can select these from a longer list in the Fitbit app). Swipe to the right until you get to the exercise you want to perform.

I haven't run in awhile cause it is freezing outside...but i think the Fitbit will start GPS if it detects you are running.
