Thanks for creating a support case ticket. Meanwhile, I have one of the latest Motorola cell phone models with Android 9, but no sign of updating the Ionic's firmware neither. I wait for instructions and/or questions from the support division.

I am having the same exact issues as you. Tried everything on the phone with a rep and would like a support ticket as well.

Same problem here.
Had the same firmware (27.331.30) for the past year.
I
ve factiry reset it multiple times, Ive installed, unnstalled, paired, unpaired, synced daily, weekly etc. But I never receive any of these "rollouts".
Firmwares should be available for instant downloads, not stupid rollouts, that obviously doesnt work.
So I am not able to get spotify either.
**ahem** watch, and has been nothing but a pain in the butt since I got the watch.
Moving on.

Hi Iconiconic
The cause is not 100% clear, but I changed to a cellphone with Android 9, and after about half a day patience, the problem solved itself. All my previous cellphones with Android 6 failed the firmware update to the latest version.
Hope this helps.

I find it ridiculous that there’s still absolutely no solution to this. I share your irritation on this issue.
To the admins,
I have the same issue where I can confirm I’ve tried to troubleshoot, turning off and on, unsyncing, resets etc.
Im running version 27.33.1.30 firmware.
How do we go about fixing this issue?
Im honestly super disappointed in how these updates are being rolled out, especially at the price of the watch. I’m very much considering just moving to apple watch.

@Picard91 I am not the expert, but once the firmware remains 27.33, I am sure that changing to a cellphone with Android 9 or higher (or iOS version ?) solves the problem. As you did, I tried several times to follow the help procedures without success. There is little you can do wrong, so I guess that the issue is caused by the cellphone's OS version and/or brand and/or Android One or stock Android.

@SunsetRunner @Picard91 and @Fra_64 It's nice to see you on the Community. I apologize for the delayed in my reply.
I appreciate the details you've mentioned and the troubleshooting tried prior to posting. I totally understand where you're coming from.
There's a new firmware version that started rolling out which is 27.70.7.27 for Ionic. To the ones that have received it, please install it and follow this procedure to install Spotify in your watch.
As mentioned above, please keep your app up to date, your watch always syncing and your app running in the background. This will help at the moment that you receive the firmware update.
I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

So I just upgraded my handset and it has Android version 10. Still no Spotify for my Ionic because even though the app is up-to-date my watch remains on firmware release 27.33.1.30. I tried the troubleshooting this thread mentions with no luck. I then contacted Fitbit Support who advised about the rolling out of updates but once again no ETA. Rather disappointing really.

Hi TLP
There is little more to do than following the help instructions. Because I do not have the technical insight, I can only suggest what I should do when I had the same issue:
1. Check that all Permissions of the Fitbit App are enabled. 2. Clear data in the App settings @ Fitbit resulting in a fresh start next time you launch Fitbit App, asking again to input your password. 3. Try to disable your antivirus App, if applicable. In any case, once countermeasures are finalized, it might take several hours before the firmware update starts running. I hope that one of these actions helps. Regards.
