Not counting floors

My ionic does not count any floors. How can I make this work?

I am having a similar problem. As of a couple weeks ago, my ionic stopped buzzing when I would get notifications, and has now stopped counting floors. I have tried resetting several times as mentioned previously throughout this forum, but it still is not working. When my ionic originally stopped vibrating for notifications, I tried resetting the watch and it worked momentarily when my watch turned back on, but then, it began restarting non-stop until the battery ran out. After recharging it, it began non-stop restarting again. I left my watch alone for a few days, recharged it, and it began working normally with the exception of buzzing for notifications and counting floors. I originally thought it might be needing an update, but everything seems to be current. Please advise as to how I should proceed. Thanks!

Try press and holding down the left button, it will bring up auto wake and notifications and change those !!!

Thanks @JohnnyD1968 for the advice. Unfortunately, I have already tried this with no successful results. I just did it again right now to make sure and still nothing. My watch doesn't even vibrate for the haptic feedback when starting/stopping exercises either.

Mind died shortly after that it would not take the update and then pretty
much it was fried

But surely it should just log floors without a constant restart.

 

mine hasn't logged floors since 2 days after buying brand new. Any help please?

I don't know my watch blew up shortly after it stopped counting floors.
This is my last ionic I finally got it to stay synced for the most part
with maybe a restart once a week but I no longer get notifications for text
messages only phone calls there's always something and I've had it. I think
they work iPhones but I will always be on an Android platform so I don't
know it's very frustrating.

My thoughts entirely. It's ridiculous they can't just accept there's an issue there and deal with it. It's as if they're passing the buck and saying "nothing to do with us 😬"

 

Mine isn't working as it should, I'm not getting much help from Fitbit support, so if it's not fixed, I shall be taking it back to shop and changing it for a Garmin.

£200+ for this is a joke

My floors have not been counted for the last two days either. It is very annoying as I get all greens every day but can’t get any floors now

since google bought the company the support service has become an annoyance without any resolution. Fitbit has become a joke.

i switched to Garmin so they shove their watches together with their client
support down the hole

Floor count has recently gone crazy, did around 25 floors and ended up with over 100 for the day. This morning started the day doing 10 hotel floors (which are greater than 10 ft) and Ionic showed 5.

That’s interesting because at one point in the day just this past Friday I
had three floors I work at a high school I came home I walked my dog we did
a hill or two by the end of the day I had 15 floors. now I know the
steepness of the hill will add up to more than one floor or several floors
but that seems extreme I’ll have to pay attention the only reason why I’m
keeping the watch at this point, I no longer get notifications for Text
messages, I like the sleep data if I can find another watch that gives me
accurate sleep data I’ll be done with ionic
