I am not receiving the text on my Fitbit ionic. I really want to keep my watch but this frustrating me and Making me want to get an Apple Watch.

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing this. We’re aware that some customers may experience a compatibility issue with notifications after updating their iPhone to iOS 13. We’re hard at work to resolve this issue. See this thread for details and troubleshooting steps.

I am also not receiving text notifications unless I have previews set to "on" on  my iPhone. I never used to need to have previews on to receive texts to my watch and I would prefer to not have them on. Is this part of what is being worked on or is it going to be a permanent issue?

Our team is aware of this issue preventing some users from receiving notifications on their iPhone after updating to iOS 13. If you're having trouble receiving notifications and you updated your iPhone or iPad to iOS 13, please check the main thread here to find all the updates.
