Hello,
I recently upgraded my S6 edge to the Xiaomi Mi6 and now my fitbit does not sync at all with my phone.
I have always had sync issues with my Ionic (it takes a lvery ong time) however I thought that was due to issues with the S6's age.
I have done the hard resets, turning the bluetooth on and off on the phone as per the forums instructions and my phone can find the Ionic however the device just won't sync.
Can you let me know what other avenues I can take to fix the issue?
Thanks,
Evan

The MI6 is not on the list of Fitbit Approved Devices.

I'm afraid not. Fitbit doesn't signal their intentions.

Welcome to the Forums @evanoshea!
Thanks for sharing your inquiry, even though that mobile device is not listed as compatible you can attempt performing these syncing troubleshoots for Android devices.
@SunsetRunner Thanks for your help!
See you around!

Well, you all people at Fitbit should be very much ashamed if you look at that Android phone compatibility list. When did you update it last time? Was it 2014 or 2015? Mobile companies rise yearly, Xiaomi earned the 4th place in Europe but Fitbit still sticks to the stupid outdated American market shares. What’s happening there you don’t want to grow elsewhere?
Really shame on you.

Thanks for the reply and it still didn't work. Do have any idea when you might be taking a look at make this phone compatible with my fitbit?

Well, none of us have any idea we just wait for fixes from Fitbit. But all we get at the moment is smooth marketing blabla.
Look at that list of device compatibility. Not a non-Apple or non-Samsung phone that came out after 2014 is on the list. In June we have Xiaomi Mi8. They have max Mi4 on their list (2014). Honor is at no10, they're stack at no 6 or so. No Nokias at all. Not even Samsung Galaxy 9. But have no fear, old legacy iPads are all on the compatibility list.
It's quite frustrating that you buy flagship Android phones and Fitbit doesn't sync with them.
AND not a word about sync phone list in their sales communication.

Compatible device or not does not matter due to sync issues across the board.
I am on an iPhone X and my syncing is now so bad that if I am lucky a reset of phone and watch allow a sync.
Can ANYONE out there name a device with these same problems that are on the market?
At the least Fitbit should be replacing these devices but really should of done a full recall. Instead Fitbit claims to understand our frustration (love the script support uses) but they are working as intended.

I have the same issue with Ionic. Using Mi 6
"Notification service not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker" despite several restarts, the problem still persists.
Same notification issue with Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music, just replaced it to Ionic, but no luck...
Maybe it is time to replace the phone to Apple and buy a new iWatch

Same issue on the Mi6. I imagine the Fitbit app doesn't maintain a persistent connection in a way the Mi6 likes, and so it's only when I open the app again that it's able to sync back up.

I also don't get call and text alerts, I imagine for the same reason
