I changed phones from a 6s to 8. I noticed I was still getting notifications from my Facebook messenger and dictionary.com, but nothing from text messages. I realized the original set up I did was when the SIM card was in my 6s. So, I tried removing the device and starting all over from the iPhone 8 this time. Everything seemed to go well and was even able to change my clock face, which it didn’t let me before. Now, for some reason, I’m not getting any notifications at all. I checked all the settings and made sure sleep and wake mode were turned off. I checked to see if everything was turned on green when it comes to “messages.” The phone is synced so I don’t know what the problem is. Hopefully somebody can help.
