As it says here, Fitbit says only supports The Oneplus One

I know OnePlus 6 isn't on the compatibility list. Which only means that Fitbit hasn't verified it. But maybe someone here owns a OnePlus 6 and can share their experiences as to what works and what doesn't?

I have a Fitbit Ionic and a oneplus 6. Everything works except for the push messages. I can read my messages on the fitbit but it doesn't vibrate when I receive one or when I receive a phonecall.
Allthough it is all turned on offcourse. Unfortunatelly.

It's great to have you here @Soetekofsky! It's pretty weird that your Ionic isn't vibrating when you're receiving notifications. I would like you to make sure your watch vibrates for other things, to test it try the following:

On your watch, open Alarms. You’ll see your next scheduled alarm (if you set one).

Next, test your watch's vibration motor:

  1. Open Timers and choose the stopwatch.
  2. Tap the play icon to start. Your watch should vibrate.

If your Ionic is vibrating but you're still not receiving notifications, try force quitting the Fitbit app, reset Bluetooth, restart your Ionic, refresh notifications and set them up again. For more instructions on how to perform each one, check this article My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone

Remember that I can't confirm that your notifications will work properly, because you're using a non supported device.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I've been using my Ionic with OnePlus 6 for a week now and all seems to be working... more or less.

There are a few quirks:

- sometimes I need to synchronise manually, because automatic synchro on app launch gets only partial data (calories, steps etc. but not sleep activity or active hours).

- notifications are inconsistent (less than 10% of notifications are not being sent to Ionic).

It seems that it is the same bug described in:

@Hotaru I hope you're doing well! Thanks for posting the situation you are experiencing with Ionic not syncing properly with your OnePlus 6.

Thanks for sharing that thread, if you believe this is what you are experiencing please reply on that same thread with the information requested there

I believe the main reason as to why this is happening is because that phone is not showing under the list of supported devices. Same with the notification situation.

If your phone meets the requirement of Minimum Supported OS (Android 4.4 KitKat), you can try the tips on this helpful article regarding notifications.

Note that we don't guarantee that the notifications will be successful as we are still testing on this phone model

Hope this helps. Keep me posted!

Hi Hotaru,

I'm thinking about buying a OnePlus 6. One of the imported features of the Ionic is that I can use both sim cards of the phone and the Phone calls are visualized on the Ionic. The background is that I the the sound of my phone off all the time, but I need to get the info that the phone is ringing on the Ionic.

Thanks for your feedback

Hi @hjochman,

I don't use this functionalty often, but I once noticed that when I reply on my Ionic to a notification generated by a text message from my second SIM, the reply is being sent from the first one, not from the SIM the message that prompted the notification was sent sent to.

I don't know if that's somehow configurable, I wasn't looking into it yet.

Hi @Hotaru,

thanks for the feedback. That would not be a problem for me as long as all messages are displayed on the Ionic.

Do you know, or can check, if calls from both sim cards a displayed on the Ionic?
