Pandora Issues after Update

I have Pandora Plus and it has been working fine on my Ionic.  I went to the gym today and my Ionic says "There is a problem with your Pandora subscription.  Check Pandora settings in the Fitbit mobile app." What could be the issue?

@Amanda2020 I hope you're doing well! It is possible that you need to complete a last step on the Fitbit app. Please open the Fitbit app, tap the Ionic picture that is on the corner and then go to Apps.

From there, look for the Pandora app and tap on it to see what the problem is.

Also, if you could share some screen shots of your Ionic with that message and also some of the Pandora app settings within the Fitbit app would be of great help.

Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

ionic.pngPandora.pngHere are images of the screens I have.  I also went to my bank account to be sure that my payment information was correct with my Pandora account.  Everything has been fine up until yesterday.  I haven't used Pandora on my watch in a few weeks but before that, I had no issues.  The only notification I got when I opened the media app on my phone was that headphones were not connected, but It gave me this issue with my headphones connected as well.

@Amanda2020 Thanks for your reply and the screen shots! Please double check if your subscription is still valid. You can also contact Pandora to verify this.

Then, please perform a restart on your Ionic. This should also help.

If still nothing, please try removing the Pandora App from your Ionic and then set it up once again.

Try that out and let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

@Amanda2020 This happened to me also. It appears the App lost the account information that you and I put in. I had to go back into the Fitbit phone app, then to the Ionic settings and then the Media and Pandora settings to re-enter my Pandora account info. After that I put the Ionic on the charger and it proceeded to download the stations again.

I don't know why the app lost the Pandora account info so I am keeping a close watch on it to see if this is a one off or if there is a glitch somewhere.

I am so frustrated with my new fitbit ionic.  It seems every time it syncs it changes something.  Took me forever to get my 2 stations on my ionic.  Then everything seemed to be working great until yesterday.  Now I have message on my watch that says, "there is a problem with with your pandora subscription.  Check pandora settings in the fitbit mobil app.  I do that and the mobile app says, "ionic hasnt been able to download music updates in the past 30 days.  so some content may have expired.  Please place ionic on the charger while in range of your WI_FI and it will check for updates.    I did this about 10 times and I get nothing.  It takes forever for it to go right back to the same error message.   It will no let me unlink the account or anything.  I bought this for the pandora feature and it just doesnt seem to want to work.  I have uninstalled both the pandora app and the fitbit app and reinstalled both.  NOTHING...ugh  can someone please help before I throw my fitbit out the window!

@Cspencer1974 Welcome to the Fitbit family! That is very strange! Have you tried doing what @wtksk8r posted above about going to Pandora settings on the Fitbit App and typing the Pandora account info once again? That could help you out with this.

Also, please try the tips I provided on my post above. That should also help you out with this.

I have tried everything. I even spent over an hour on the phone with Fitbit rep and they are telling me it is a know issue and they are working on it.  The problem lies in the fact that I have an error message that says Ionic hasbt been able to download music updates in the past 30days, so some content may have expired.  Pleae place ionic on the charge while in range of you wi-fi and it will check for updates.

Which I do - for about 4 times at over an hour a try.  The watch ends up given me an error message that says there is a problem with your pandor subscription.  Check the pandora setting in the fitbit moble app.

Its like big circle that keeps telling me to go back to this etc.

It lets me delete the app but when I reinstall it it recognizes my account.  It will not let me unlink my account.  It says it unlinked it but when I go back in to enter my information it gives me the same 30 day error message.

I also have never gotten any notifications on my watch.  Do not disturb is correct and notifications are turned on the watch.

Just HATING my watch these days!  Which is really sad!

I have done all of that and it still isn't working.  Do you have to buy a subscription from Pandora in order for it to work?

Yes. You don’t need the most expensive plan but a paid plan.

@Dawn218 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Thanks for your interest in the Pandora App for Fitbit Ionic.

Yes, you will need to have a paid subscription and be located in the United States in order for the app to work. Also, you will need a Wi-Fi connection for this app to work. Please check this helpful article for more details about this app's usage and requirements.

@CTPope74 It's great to see you in the Fitbit forums! Thanks for your help on this thread!

Good luck! Mine never worked. I totally switched over to Apple and I’m so
happy I did. I think Fitbit tried but failed miserably. Plus trying to get
you $$back was a trick in and of itself! Good luck! I will never buy Fitbit
ever again
