I absolutely love the Ionic for what it is supposed to do: GPS tracking and HR. It is a great device that when paired with strava works very well for my training needs. One major problem I've had is hitting the pause button mid-run or mid-bike. This makes for inaccurate distance calculations and partial GPS tracks. While auto-pause works pretty well and I do use it sometimes, the physical pause button is pressed too easily.
I would suggest a double tap of the lower right button rather than a single tap. This would be a pretty simple software fix and still allow the use of the pause button for those who like to pause mid run while greatly reducing the risk of accidental pauses that can ruin workout stats.
Does anyone have any other suggestions for how to get around this?
I've gotten so frustrated I've often thought of switching to a different GPS watch. Does anyone have experience with other devices?
Other features I would love to see-
Elevation accrued throughout an exercise. While this is show when an exercise is finished or on the app, it would be incredibly useful to see both the current elevation and the total elevation gained while in exercise mode. I'm often trying to meet both a distance and elevation goal when running and riding bikes, and the current elevation is incredibly helpful when route finding.
It would also be very cool to link some bike sensors to either the fitbit app, or to at least combine all the data to strava. Cadence, speed, and power meters are great training tools and used by most serious riders. This feature would greatly improve the fitbit's applicability and broaden the target market to more bikers

@rilyn7 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Thanks for sharing the ideas for future suggestions you would like to have on your Ionic.
I was making some research at the Feature Suggestions Board and was able to find some similar ideas:
I wasn't able to find the Strava idea you have there to include more data. I'd recommend posting it as a new suggestion.
Please vote for the suggestions there and leave a comment. Note that the one about elevation is now possible on a third-party app.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted!
