Phantom runs are being added to my ionic not sure what is happening. I went for a run checked my steps and within 15 minutes it was doubled. It showed that I went running at 3am and added steps miles calories so I deleted it. 2hrs later checked watch and It showed I went for another phantom run at 628am not sure what happening

Revoking Sträva on Fitbit Dashboard and removing Fitbit link on Strava worked for me. Went for a walk today and the Fitbit app recorded only the walk data, no duplicate, phantom data.

If your using Strava to record a walk, this walk is expected to be sent to Fitbit. If Fitbit records a walk, then yes the user should expect to see two walks.

@DaDuck Thanks for your reply and for trying those steps. I'm really glad to hear that you are back on track now.
I'd recommend using Ionic's Exercise App when doing runs, just as you said. That app works great and will give you accurate data and its GPS too. You should have a great experience with it!

You don't need to disconnect Strava, you just need to use the Ionic or Strava to record your run.
If you use the ionic, your run will get transferred to Strava.
If you choose to use Strava your run will be transferred to Fitbit.

Just seems strange that the double up has only started in the last month though.
I like to used the exercise tracker on my watch for my walks or runs but i need strava on my phone as I'm doing run the world and they need strava to upload your runs

Fitbit does upload your run to Strava, provided that you used GPS while tea king your run. See the STRAVA information post.

@juliebar @cassie5555 I hope you're doing well! Thanks for sharing your experience with us on this thread.
Try using Ionic only to track your exercises. If your exercise was a GPS once, it will transfer to Strava. If you decide to use Strava to track, you will probably 2 exercise entries (the one from Strava and the one from Fitbit). Please use only Fitbit.

@SantiR I only use the ionic to track my runs, i don't use strava to track. My ionic sends this info to strava and strava is sending it back to fitbit as an extra activity. I've been doing this for the last 12 months but only having the double up in the last month

This was the same as me. It’s like Strava auto tracks and then sends it back.
