A few days ago, I installed the latest firmware update on my Fitbit Ionic. When I rebooted it, it would not turn on. I've seen a lot of people saying the same thing about their devices, and I was not happy. The next day, I put on my IT thinking cap and tried a few things. It turns out that by holding all 3 buttons for about 30 seconds, my Fitbit rebooted. The proper way to test my theory would be to turn it off and try again, but I am not pushing my luck. If you updated yours and it broke, give this a shot and let me know.
Good luck!

Actually as described in the user manual a restart only needs the left and lower right buttons pressed for 12 - 15 (not sure which one) seconds
Is your tracker working now?

My Ionic died a few days ago. The sensor light on back is off. I have tried several times to get it to turn on but nothing. It was 80% charged when it died. So very frustrating, would appreciate any constructive assistance. Thanks all!

I got mine working by holding all three buttons for about 30 seconds. If your Ionic died after you installed the latest firmware update, that might fix it. Try it and let me know!

I tried that after reading your post, before putting my question out there. Unfortunately it didn't work, and I think that the battery is just completely dead. 😞 So, after looking into replacing the battery myself (yes, it can be done, but expensive!), I'm researching my next purchase. I loved my Ionic, but after on 18 months and the battery died, not sure which watch (or brand) to pick. Thanks so much for your response. Have a blessed day!

Several companies sell a kit, includes battery and tools. The price is not very expensive and users say not that hard. I'm sure a YouTube video may be found.
