My Ionic was working perfectly when I went to bed last night and had 41% battery when I went to bed. I woke up this morning in a panic, because my alarm didn't go off. I looked at my watch and there was nothing on the screen. I tried restarting and then a factory reset, but nothing. I had to get some things done, so then called Fitbit customer support. They confirmed that it was working fine when I went to bed, but due to the fact that it was activated in November of 2017, they informed me it was out of warranty and that there was nothing that they could do besides give me a discount on a new Ionic. They gave me a 25% discount and then when I pushed they gave me a 40% discount. But, I don't want the discount. I very much enjoyed the Ionic, but when sleeping in bed is too much for the watch to handle, I think it's time I went to better quality product that can handle the vigorous activity of sleep.

By the way has anyone else had a similar problem with this product?

While on the phone they said they would offer a 40% discount, but then in the email it's only a 25% discount. I suppose it doesn't matter, since I won't be using it. But, they didn't even do what they said they would.

Most companies would request the user send inn their device, at the users expense, then charge 80% of the cost to repair the unit, the user then gets their used u it back.
Fitbit on the other hand is offering a discount that makes the purchase cheaper than the cosy of a repair and the user gets a brand new device. Sounds like a win-win

I hear what you are saying. But, most quality companies would make a product that doesn't die less than a year and half after purchase when used as intended. The watch died during the activity of sleeping. I wasn't using it in any strange way, and in fact don't do anything strange that would add extra strain to the watch. My other complaint was that they said on the phone they would give a 40% discount, but they only sent a link for a 25% discount. I don't think you're making an amazing case for Fitbit. And as I research more, this seems to be a problem that a good number of other people have had.

This just happened to me also. It is very frustrating and they offered me the same discount since it is out of warranty. However, I don't think I am willing to buy a new one when the first one malfunctioned.. Very disappointed and expected better customer service.
