Problems with the Ionic

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello,

I've owned the Ionic for about a month, this is the problems i have:

Huawei P20Pro (tested) Samsung S9 (tested)

Needs constant resetting to work

Phone/SMS features unstable/not working

The function to be constantly connected to BT is not working

Syncing is slow, does not autosync

I've just reset the watch and when I reinstalled it's stuck again. Following the advice of other FitBit users, i'm turning this piece of garbage in and switching to another brand.

Just looking at the countless threads created about syncing issues, power issues, actual FitBit employees who say "Yes these features are not working rigth now, but it will be udated soon" and then never update it. What a business model.

Please. If you read this and looking to buy a new FitBit, do a quick google search first.

There are only a few Huawei phones that are officially supported by fitbit. You can see these on the list at www.fitbit.com/devices There also seems to be a particular issue with some of Huawei's "lite" phones. Fitbit say:

"Due to Bluetooth issues that prevent certain devices, like Fitbit devices, from syncing, our products aren't compatible with the following phones:

  • Huawei P8 Lite
  • Huawei P9 Lite
  • Huawei P20 Lite
  • Xiaomi Mi 6"

I have the Huawei P smart, which is a cracking phone! It doesn't sync ,
however, I think I found a temporary fix.

If your phone has found the ionic via Bluetooth and paired with it you'll
need to into Bluetooth settings and unpair the ionic / forget it or however
it's displayed.

I then go into the Fitbit app and start the sync process and one of two
things happen. 1. It suddenly start syncing with the phone . 2 , You'll
get a message to restart your phone. Do this restart, then return to Fitbit
app and it should sync .

I've had the Huawei for over a year and it's never really synced apart from
a few random times. I've been doing the above method for over a week now
and it has stayed synced and is working perfectly!!

I sometimes have to do the unpair method but at least it's working .

It's worth a try for your phone and hopefully it'll work pending Fitbit
adding more phones to the list!!
