Prompted to enter PIN multiple times a day

I'm getting prompted to enter my PIN several times a day, even though I'm not taking my watch off. It seems like the algorithm that determines whether or not the watch is being worn needs some work. Either the accuracy needs to be improved, or there should be a 10 or 15 minute timeout before the PIN is required after the watch is taken off.

Edit: I just discovered that there's an option in the device lock settings to only require the PIN when Fitbit Pay is used. I turned that on, so now at least I shouldn't be prompted for the PIN when I just want to look at my daily stats or whatever. Still, it would be nice if the underlying issue were fixed.

Same here. It started yesterday. It is strange, it worked fine since beginning of October when I bought it. I already did a restart of the Ionic and today, even if I was wearing the watch tight ( after the Gym ) it happened again. Well, if it continues I will also have to change the Pin settings.

The exact same thing is happening to me over the past week, after the last Fitbit app update (it might have happened before that, but my memory of app updates is failing me).  I do not wear my Ionic loosely, which would be one explanation for the lock screen continually popping up.

Your EDIT and suggestion make sense, but the whole idea for a lock screen after removing is to keep your Fitbit as your own...

After using my Fitbit Ionic for about three months, it has just started doing this over the past week. Will wait until I finish the latest Fitbit Challenge I am in and will try a factory reset to see if it fixes the issue. Thanks for the tip about only using the PIN for Fitbit Pay.

Just disable your device within the settings.  I believe that you will only need a pin when you access FitBit pay

I just need notifications so I'm posting this. I have the same issue.

Same for me. Quite irritating. Guess I'll disable the PIN code.

This is triggered on my fitbit when NFC is left on with my phone. If my ohone gets close enough, it triggers the prompt on the Fitbit.

My Blaze only did that darn PIN number thing when I had the "Pay" option set on.  I finally turned it off and haven't been asked for the PIN again.  They really need to fix that problem.  It could ask us when we try to use that feature, but eliminate the other 1-200 times a day.
