Purchasing a Replacement Ionic

Hi, 

I am about to buy in eBay an Ionic with has been sending to the seller as a replacement from his original one. This replacement is still in the original package and sealed.

1. I was wondering what is the warranty applicable for this.

2. Is there a “serial number checker” available for this matter

3. Does really worth it to buy it like this? I can get it for less than a third of the original price.

I will be using it mainly for tracking my swimming.

The Fitbit warranty only applies to those devices bought from an approved retailer. Unfortunately, eBay is not on that list so you will not have any warranty entitlement.
