So received a replacement Ionic about 1 week ago and noticed an issue right out of the box. The 1st thing I did was plug the Ionic in and charge it. Once it reached 100% I tried to turn it on by pressing the single button on the left but it did not come on right away. It took multiple presses of the button over a few minutes to finally turn on. One it turned on I completed the setup process. After updating the watch it took my through the usual guided tour of features and when I got to the part that told me it press the left button again nothing happened. After a few minutes of button pressing it finally brought me to the default interface. When it did it immediately vibrated briefly like I had pushed and held a button and went to the notification setup screen. I pushed the button and nothing happened again. After a few more minutes of me pressing the button and bouncing back and forth between the Main screen and the notification setup screen the watch settled down. Since then it will randomly take me to the notification setup screen and sometimes the button will return me to the main screen and sometimes it does nothing. When the button does work I go through a few bounces between the notification setup screen and the screen before it settles back to the main screen again. There are times the button won't turn the screen on too. I exercise daily and this is my ONLY tracker. I would like the unit replaced but really don't feel that I should be made to do without my tracker until the defective one they sent has been received, verified, replaced, and mailed back to me. Has anyone been successful in getting them to send the replacement unit ahead of the defective unit being received?

When I have had to have Google replace phones under warranty, they would offer the option of charging your card for the new one, but placing that on hold. As long as you returned it right away the pending charge would just go away. These are expensive electronic devices and it just helps keep people honest. Maybe they will consider doing that for you?

They wouldn't send a replacement ahead of my broken Ionic repair either. I had to wait forever and when it finally shipped, it was stolen during the delivery process. I found it very difficult communicating with Fitbit regarding this matter. So many phone calls, online Ionic chats and time were wasted regarding this matter. It was a painful process, but I finally received a replacement. Good luck and be patient.
