Sadly, @SarahJaK still no rowing app or activity. However, given the trouble with wrist based monitors tracking HR during such activities, until Fitbit enables BT connections with chest straps and other such devices, there is little benefit in adding it, except of course to make it easier adding activities to the Dashboard. And given Fitbit are focusing predominantly on step based activities, I don’t see this happening any time soon, unfortunately.
And if you want to track GPS, don’t use Workout either, as that won’t. You’ll need to use one of the activities that measures distance and has the GPS feature, such as run, hike, walk or bike.

@SarahJaK That's where you need to be about creative, to work around Fitbit's limitations. You can change the activity on the website but adjust the activity before starting to track what you want. It is a bit of a chore but until Fitbit broadens their remit, what we're stuck with.

People have been asking since 2015 for rowing capability. Fitbit has made it clear they have no plans to do this, likely because they do not know how to do it.
I recommend posting a review on Amazon and other sites of this , as they obviously don't care about what people post on this community forum.

Because the feature that is missing is adding custom sports modes that can be customized by the user. I didn't know how useful this feature is until I found it in my other watch. I was missing indoor climbing ( by default there's only mountain climbing which enables GPS unnecessarily for ie. bouldering ) and found out I can actually add it myself enabling feature and stats that are relevant. I ended up adding two indoor climbing activities - bouldering and belay climbing. Both show slightly different stats ( for example, belay cl. shows vertical speed ). With Fitbit, I usually use Workout for everything that is not running or cycling but it's a shame there is no option to turn on/off GPS for such a generic activity ( Workout should be the most customizable one IMHO ). All the user can do is use generic Workout and rename it. Very poor when looking at competitors.
