Run data lost after update

I have just done my first run since the autumn 2019 firmware update.

I manually started  a run exercise after the gps signal was found as i have done countless times.

At the end i came to stop recording the event and the screen showed "start exercise app" or similar. It had stopped recording my 5k run after 0.03km

What the flip is this new feature and how can  it be stopped? Non of the new features that are on this update seem to be documented!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the details that were shared in your post, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. To better assist you with this situation, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this and how many times since then? Does this occur with any exercise or specific ones like Run? If you haven't already done so, please restart your device to refresh its performance.
