Run maps don't load

The maps of my past runs don't load. I can see the maps of the runs of last week, but not anymore of the weeks and months before. Very strange because in the past I could see these. Here is a screenshot. You see that the map from the 8th of June still shows. As from 4th of June, no maps load anymore. As from 4th of June, no maps load anymore.

The 'loading' icon lasts foreverThe 'loading' icon lasts forever

Further down in the past, no maps load at all. It is just the last week that's loaded. Also, clicking a map that's not loaded brings you to the details of the run, but without the map tab, just the 3 other tabs (heart rate, impact etc.)

What to do?

Did a bike tour today, and now I notice the map of the last run displayed this morning, is also in 'perpetual loading'.

Could it be only the last 8 maps of your GPS-tracked activities are stored??? And a new one will 'erase' the 8th in the past?

New potential cause of this issue:

I remember the Fitbit server went down about a week ago for several hours. Could it be the GPS tracking data of all activities before this failure are lost???

Coumd someone at Fitbit please reply to my query? Are the problems I'm facing here related to the server being down more than a week ago?

What's happening with Fitbit moderators? Are they also lost because of server maintenance?

someone from fitbit will respond in a couple of weeks once you've given up 🙂

I've had this issue on the android app a couple of times but I don't think the data is lost because when I look in the windows 10 app the same run display correctly. have you tried checking on another device or in the web dashboard?

Thanks! You're right. The maps do load correctly in the W10 app. Data not lost, feeeew.

When I find the courage, I'll delete and re-install the Android app. That might do the trick.

Thanks again for the insight!
