Running Issues - Checklist to answer

Hi Fitbit and Forum!

I'm a 4 year Fitbit user, started with Flex and went to Charge HR and Surge, my Wife got me the Ionic to replace my 2 yr old Surge and for the most part I'm loving it. I'm a 4 times a week runner and 2 times a week workout user and I've encountered the following discrepancies comparing to my beforehand trusted Surge data which I would please like reviewed by the Fitbit Team/ Community (note: daily activity data for me (steps, heart rate, sleep, distance, etc... works perfectly!):

1. Pace: I've found a bad refresh rate/ sensitivity vs the Surge, the dist. Is correctly logged (I believe) but the pace displayed doesn't match the current feeling until later on the lap, the Surge response was faster.

2. Floors: this, different to the pace, is way to sensitive, compared to the Surge and Charge HR I have, on any given run I can gain 40 floors more than with the other two trackers. Surge and Charge HR in the same run will consistently give the same number of floor gains.

3. No Lap Runs!: the Surge had this instance and it was fundamental for my training, manually logging laps was the best way to do interval training, the Ionic's interval training is automatic and I find it better for workout than runs.

4. Amount of Activities we can register: the Surge, under running, allowed for lap runs, hiking, free runs, treadmill... which allowed other trainings to occupy the vacant sport spaces... regressing to each type of run independently makes me have to consistently log and swap sports which I hadn't needed to do on the Surge.

Again, I'm very happy with my Ionic, I do believe it was an upgrade and it totally solved the Surge's top issues (Bulkyness, design, smart features), but I find that running with it (my primary activity) has become less satisfactory, I believe Fitbit can solve this issues in the short term but I felt I needed to give my personal experience to help build up this awesome device.

It's great to have you here @Tommyxmartin! Your comments and feedback are valuable as this continues helping Fitbit to improve its trackers and features. I appreciate the time that you took to share the good things you found on your Ionic and that you didn't have before on the Surge.

I've attached the Fitbit Product Manual in case you want to learn or have any questions about your watch.
