Welcome to the Community @ALePrell! Fitbit Ionic will show you a run cue, but this won't be a voice cue. However, you can set voice cues in your app by using MobileRun.
You can always post your ideas in our Feature Suggestion board, those are viewed by our engineers and developers.
Hope this helps!

Best AnswerSilvia---I just received my IOnic as a gift...when I go to customize my settings in the run category, my first two settings are "Show laps" and "Automatic Lap Settings". The cue settings are not showing <?>
So, to have a voice activated cue when I run or bike, I have to wear my phone with the mobile app? That's really disappointing.
Thanks for your help

It's great to see you around @mikelaff! Thanks for the details you've mentioned. The cue that you can customize on your Ionic is used to alert you when certain milestones is achieved. Just confirm you're following these steps:
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thanks for your quick reply, silvia...I had an online chat with Chris this morning and he helped me out. The problem is, my Ionic does not say "cues"..its show "laps" and "lap settings" He helped me get lined up....I'll be interested in how it works next time I use my Ionic for a run.
I also found out, this is avaiable through my account settings through the fitbit.com website.
thanks, again

Best AnswerI’ve had this issue as well-please update whether or not it works for you! I believe I had adjusted this setting the last time I ran outside but didn’t get a cue.

I don't have the "Show Cues" and my voice cues that I set in the app don't work either, despite being on. 😞

Best AnswerYes, it's pretty lame...you have to go into your run settings and set Show Laps for Automatically, then Automatic Settings for Mile (unless you prefer Kilometers) Then set the laps based on how many miles you want the cue ... I set mine for one mile. Every mile I get a slight vibration and I have to look at the watch to check on my pace. So, I still strap on my IPhone and set up May My Run so I can get a voice cue. I have no idea what use the voice cue set up is on the phone app...I sure can't get it to work.
HOpe that helps, Heather

...The cue is that the watch vibrates (barely) for every mile...
Since you can barely feel the haptic feedback, you may want to go into the "Settings" and choose "Vibrations" and select "Strong" instead of Normal.
Hope this helps some and Keep on STEPPING!

@Ellisn1966, check out the post above by @SilviaFitbit to see if that helps:

Best AnswerI know I had the same problem...the Ionic says "laps" , not cue. See my reply above on 4/8...instead of setting for miles, scroll for kilometers...if you still have problems, try an online chat with a Fitbit service rep...that helped me.
Hope this helps
This can’t be accurate because the settings even says preview voice cues. Why would the have that if there is no voice. But how is the question??????

Are you kidding me? A fitness watch that doesn’t give voice cues on splits, which we have all been used to for years now? Not even combined with an app like Strava? Am I really going back to having to run with my phone? What is the point of the Fitbit then?
