So I use my ionic to track my runs which works amazing, I love how quick gps is especially after the first few times, however when I check the app, I see that the runs been logged twice- once with a map and loads of info and once without.

Im wondering if this is because I’m connected too Strava? It’s like the ionic syncs with strava, then strava duplicates it back to fitbit minus the information, is that right?

If ao, is there a way to stop it or should I just keep deleting the duplicated log?

Thank you 😄

I just solved this issue yesterday.

Fitbit was syncing with runkeeper and MyFitnessPal.

MyFitnessPal was also syncing with runkeeper then sending the data back to fitbit

Fitbit > MyFitnessPal

Fitbit > Runkeeper > MyFitnessPal > Fitbit

I disconnected runkeeper from MyFitnessPal and that solved the issue.

If you open the runs without maps you can see in the title (in very small writing) what app they are coming from. Though judging by your screenshot im 100% its coming from MyFitnessPal likely via runkeeper or some other app.

Thank you so much! That solves everything, I unlinked strava from myfitnesspal, and withdrew myfitnesspal’s ability too write workouts to Fitbit 😄

No problem.

Removing strava from MyFitnessPal should be enough. If you want your food data to send from MyFitnessPal to fitbit you should keep them connected. Its only when the run passes through strava and into MyFitnessPal that the duplication issue happens
