Please make this phone compatible, this is a major brand of a phone and half of my notifications don't work because I was told it is not 100% compatible yet. Most of my 3rd party notifications don't work. Please make this work asap.

Ionic with S9plus

@kevinz821 @Cantryboy @Grumpyswife @Rhoyz I hope you're all doing well! Thanks for your interest in using Ionic with the new Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus.

Currently, both the S9 and S9+ do not show on the list of compatible devices. However, I think it should appear anytime soon (to be confirmed).

I'd recommend trying what some of the users on this thread did and set it up anyways (if you already set it up just log in to your Fitbit account on the S9+). It seems it is working properly, so it is worth giving it a try.

Hope this helps. Let me know how it works! Smiley Happy

@kevinz821 Thanks for your reply and for providing that information!

Did you toggle on the App Notifications/email option on the Fitbit app?:

  • Open the Fitbit app and tap the account icon and then your device image.
  • Tap "Notifications".
  • Tap "App Notifications" or "Emails".
  • Toggle on those third-party apps.

If they are on, but not being received; it is probably because that mobile device is still not listed as supported. We will have to wait until it is fully compatible. I don't have a time frame, but I hope it is soon!

Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

So we're now towards the end of August, and after speaking to fitbit support online, this problem still hasn't been resolved. My ionic will not sync to my S9+. At all. Pretty poor form for something that's been acknowledged months ago as a problem. It's going to be hard to buy another fitbit product, or even recommend them to friends.
