Screen coming on when Screen Wake is set to manual

My screen is coming on in the middle of the night when the Screen Wake is set to manual. I know for certain i have not hit any buttons by mistake .

Hmm?  Might be that somehow the screen gets tapped.  Even when set to Manual the screen does wake up if it is tapped.  Could that be what is happening?

 

If not try the standard troubleshooting guesses like restarting a few times - shutting down - and changing clock faces back to original.  Failing that a call to Tech Support might work.  They might even have you do a reset to factory.

Really there is no need to suffer in Frustration - simply call Tech Support at 877-623-4997 and get your Ionic replaced right now while you can
Many have followed this straightforward advice and now have a replacement Ionic - we all should have “zero tolerance” for any defective Ionic

I'm having the same issue and I am SURE I'm not touching the screen or even moving my arm/wrist. This is very frustrating, as I don't necessarily want just anyone to be able to read my texts just because they are standing near me or if I'm sleeping. I double checked and my screen wake is set to manual and I have purposefully had texts sent to me as a test while deliberately not touching my ionic or moving my wrist/arm to make sure it wasn't something I was doing by mistake...
