I had tried soft reset or factory reset on my fitbit ionic.unfortunately the screen is forever dark. Some vibrations can still be detected I am still able to sync fitbit to my desktop account. Just updated firmware version 27.70.7.14 earlier.

How do i get my normal screen display on the watch again?

Thanks, i look forward for the solutions. Another attempt i tried is to allow the fitbit ionic battery to be fully drained and recharge it back. The screen is still blank, and cannot be sync to the desktop software anymore. The fitbit software features already had appeared to be downgraded. By the way, i am now using my fitbit charge HR as another back up.

looking forward on tips for how to fix this fitbit ionic blank screen issue. I bought both the ionic and Fitbit charge he at IOI mall puchong malaysia . Is there any Fitbit official service center that I can send my ionic for repair? Or. is there a possibility that I can get an older version of Fitbit software ( not the Dec 2019 version,)reinstall again? There were never problems for my ionic before this 😭

I contacted fitbit today about this and told them I trying going through the reset procedure. However all I get is a black lit screen. They offered me 25% off a replacement unit since mine is now a few months out of warranty and told me that was all they could do.

I'm having the same problem. Yesterday my screen went blank; occasionally I could get it to light up (low/still rather dark), but not display any data, the clock, etc. It would sometimes vibrate. It seems to still be syncing with my account, so I assume it's just a problem with the display?

I've also tried turning it off and back on several times and charging overnight (in case it was a low battery issue).

@SilviaFitbit, thanks. It's just frustrating that this happened after doing the December firmware update. After the update, I started having some issue with step counts and other data being inaccurate then the screen went out. Before the update I had no previous issues with the unit.

My screen is just black. It doesn’t display data. It’s working and tracking to my phone. It vibrates.

Hi thanks for reaching out.

The sreen does  not still display anything..but looks the fitbit is still working as I can see all the data being synched to my App with respect to my heart beats, sleep and steps. I cannot control anything on the screen. Also, the battery is draining faster than it used to when screen was working. Also, I see a small dim light on the screen when I put the IONIC to charge.

Let me know if it can be revived to its full glory from here or it is 250$ and lot of trust on FitBit brand down the drain ?

Same thing happened to me. I called up support and after endlessly online with them, realized that its is pretty much end of the road. This was a replacement watch I got because first time this happned i was still covered under warranty. First one game up on me around 6 months and this one around 10 months. So, 2 watch and average life of less than a year. That does not sound co-incidence right. Look online many many people have the same issue. 250+$ is down the drain.

Currently i am in market looking for a sport tracker. Leaning more towards apple. Done with FitBit Brand and thier products. They offer 25% off on any new fitbit and i can get much better deal outside but even 80% discount is too much money for this brand I believe.
