Selling your fitbit ionic

I have had this for 6 months and still unhappy as can’t upload music which is the main reason I bought so I could run without my phone but still having to take my phone.

i obviously have no rights now for a refund. I hoped fitbit would of listened to the complaints and solved the problem and made a fitbit connect app available in the App Store so I feel I have given fitbit time, so now thinking about selling.

Has anyone sold their ionic and how much do you think a 6 month old watch is worth?

Depending on the condition of your Ionic I think you could expect something in the region of £130-£180 (going by ebay listings). Argos are selling them for £239.99 brand new with warranty, so you can expect to take quite a hit on the original price you paid.

@Annie311 make sure that you do a factory reset .Settings - about -factory reset.

Unlike the other trackers the ionic does store personal data.

I hate mine. Surge was a far better watch for me. Mine is for sale. Hit me up if anyone is interested. Hello Garmin!!!

I've already sold mine. I've never lost so much time on a product that doesn't work as intended as the Fitbit Ionic. Sad but true, I should have kept my Charge 2 which worked flawlessly, the Ionic drove me away from Fitbit.

Yeah I think I’m going to go for the Apple iwatch series 3 instead!

Thanks

Im ready to sell mine too. Had it now for seven months and never could download music and weather app never worked but the worst thing is that the notifications have never worked correctly. Too late to return so i will try and sell. The worst thing is that Fitbit keeps telling me to be patient their technical team is working on it. Well i am tired of waiting and i have exhausted my patience.

I’m not selling mine as don’t feel it is fair someone buying a watch with so many issues. If only Fitbit thought the same...

Sorry that you have had that experiance, I'm not sure what is happening. I can say that with the exeption of 2 people everyone I meet say that they love their fitbits .I've only met 3 with ionic a and they also have nothing but good to say.

Now I do understand that with any electronic devices their can be trouble with a few .

I agree that there can be a problem with a few but as i read the community forum it appears that there are more than a few problems. I bought this Ionic 7 months ago and have had problems from the beginning. I called and wrote and was told from the start that the technical team was aware of the issues and working on fixing them. I was asked to be patient that it would be fixed. Well i was patient but i feel that i have been lied to so after 10 + years and 5 different Fitbit devices i have lost all trust for Fitbit promises. I have never a problem before nor any complaints but 7 months of ‘Our engineers are doing everything possible to resolve the issue soon. We appreciate your patience and understanding’ (Tweet from October 26, 2017) i think you should understand my distrust. Given that my questions started the day i received the Ionic i would think that it would have been suggested that I exchange it for a new one if in fact my bad device was an exception. From the communication it was obvious there was a problem that went beyond a few devices. To say that i am disappointed in a company i have recommended buying from for 10 years is a gross understatement. You do not continue selling features that obviously do not exist or work.

I know this is a long reply but i am very angry that i wasted $300 and seven months on this product.
