Settings app went missing on Ionic

Hi everyone
Tonight, I received some strange strings on my Ionic, shortly after it rebooted and it is not syncing anymore. Investigations revealed that the settings app went missing.
Is there any possibility to push this app (e.g. via USB and dev tools) or do I need to run a factory reset?
The companion on my Android device is listing it as "installed".

Thanks and regards!

@RaFit Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for sharing the experience you have had with the Settings App on Ionic. Thanks for sharing all of those details regarding this.

In this case, please try searching for it at the Fitbit App Gallery and install it. Follow the steps on this helpful article to do this.

Try that out and let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

Hello @SantiR

I am not talking about any app, but the Settings app. It is listed as "installed" in the app gallery.
Furthermore, I don't see any hint in your help article regarding pushing apps manually, if the connection to the phone is broken.

Thanks and best regards!

I’m having the exact same issue.   This is my 3rd Ionic and I’ve yet to have one work properly.  First it was rebooting nonstop, it finally stopped doing that but started giving an clock error, once that came back the settings app disappeared.  Ugh.  Come on Fitbit.

Hi @69-Chevelle

I needed to reset Ionic. I could not find any other possible way since Settings app is managing a couple of the core features like WiFi and Bluetooth.

Ditto here. My trouble started today. I used to have a Blaze that stopped working after about the same amount of time. I love my FitBit, but it is very expensive since it’s life expectancy is roughly 1.5 years for me.

You can hard reset the device. It will work smoothly afterwards. No other
workaround is known to me.

I looked up hard reset( 3 buttons) tried & didn’t work. So my Ionic is fully charged but I my Account the app says “ battery empty “.so it will sync 1/2 way to the middle of the sync line, and then start again, so it just keeps trying and trying to sync.
Thanks for you thoughts.

Hello, just wondering if you ever managed to resolve this issue? I am currently experiencing the same problem.

Many thanks

Hi Pink_Panther
No resolution has been found. I do not own the device anymore. It wasn't
reliable enough.
As you can see in this chat, there seems to be a rare, but re-occurring
issue, but the Fitbit team is not able to identify and fix it.

Regards!
