Should GPS turn off when swimming?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I had written about this last week and thought resolved but it's not.

I have ALL GPS features turned on for all modes of exercise in the Exercise Shortcuts section. However when I click on SWIM feature to start training, no GPS icon is coming on. I bought this watch for the swim feature. What is the issue?

It's great to have you here @edene! When you're swimming, there are some things that will turn off such as heart rate, floors tracking and GPS. The reason why it's because, it won't track your swim using GPS instead it will track the duration of your swim and the number of the pool lengths you complete. You can learn more about it by checking this article How do I track my swims with my Fitbit device?

Hope this clarifies any doubt.

@Ludeeda GPS is deliberately disabled for swim tracking. If this feature is important to you then I'm afraid it looks like you need to return it.

If you decide not to return it then there is a feature suggestion to enable this feature and if you'd like to add your vote then you can find it here:
