Should my Ionic auto recognise a workout as an Aerobic Workout when doing a high intensity workout with my coach. 50 Seconds high intensity activity (chest press, tricep dips, press ups, lat rises etc), 5 seconds move to next exercise for 10 exercises, 1 minute rest then repeat. Total workout time 30 mins. My auto recognise setting is set for 10 minutes. The Dashboard recognises the minutes but it has not auto recognised the exercise.

Maybe but can not say. Using the manual start mode is always more accurate

Agree with you there, would be nice if it did what it says on the tin though, for the times I forget to start it. Funny enough I did a 45 minute session today and it did pick up 10 minutes a “sport”, oh well.

Fitbit never sayed that it will recognize every type of exercise. It seems to do better when exercises are not switched.
I've also notice that the more auto exercises I have enabled, the sooner the battery needs to be charged and the less responsive the display is.

No but the question was to ask the forum for the type of workout that I described, should it have been recognised. I tried a suggestion from a previous post of changing the duration setting and resyncing, the next day it sort of worked but sport came up instead of workout and only for a fraction of the time actually spent working out. I get that auto recognition will depend on what you do matching a certain profile to trigger it, just trying to understand if what I’m doing should fit that profile or if there is likely something wrong and can it be fixed?
