I noticed this past weekend in a race that I could not shuffle a playlist. I only have the option to "shuffle all" which looks like it would shuffle everything loaded -- including tracks from an audiobook I have loaded on my Ionic.
Am I missing something?
Thanks.

Once you have selected the playlist you want to listen to then Shuffle should only apply to that play list (I've only got 1 play list so I haven't tested that theory, but logically that is what should occur) Give it a go and see what happens.

I only see "Shuffle All" before I select a playlist.

Any answers to this question? I was about to post the same thing.

It appears this has still not been fixed. So far I am less then impressed with the music app on my Versa. It is great that the feature exists, however, not being able to change songs during a workout or the shuffle seem like things that should have been thought of in the development.
Think I will go back to my iPod until they get the bugs worked out

You can shuffle individual playlists. Select the playlist, select a song, the hit shuffle.
You also hold the left button down to go to the music during the workout.

@Yepprs Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for taking the time to post the experience you have had with the music feature on your watch. Thanks for sharing your feedback regarding this.
I see that @chriskerins shared some important information on his post above. Have you tried that already?
Try that out and let me know if this gets resolved for you.
Keep me posted!

Question about my new Versa.
I absolutly need contol of shuffle on transfered music.I do not do "fun fitmess" per se, this is for race training. My music is calibrated to steps per minute. ( I have no interest in the artist or style, just to accuracy of the beats per minute).
I loaded a playlist to the watch, containing 5 songs titled 150bpm, 155bpm, 160bpm, 165bpm and 170bpm
I need the selected song to continue until I change it. I need to be able to speed up by touching the "next" arrow and slow down by touching "previous" arrow. This must be positive touch even when moving at top speed.
FATAL flaws would be any form of SHUFFLE, jumping to the next or previous playlist, or failing to respond to touch without looking at the watch for more than a glance.
(I can do most of this by playing the watch from my phone, but this defeats one of the reasons for spending so much on a Versa, so that the music is up-loaded onto the watch. When I engage "play from watch", it irreversibly engages shuffle ! ! ! )
Any help would be appreciated. On my Versa, the Shuffle button does not respond to any presses.

On Ionic: I have just tried the @chriskerins post and once you select the playlist it opens so there is no option for selecting Shuffle. Before you select the playlist you want to shuffle the Shuffle All is there, if you select it you will get everything on your lists shuffled. How can someone say you can do it when the option isn't visible?

@SunsetRunner after you select the playlist you have to choose a song to start. Once the song is playing click the 3 dots in the lower corner. A screen will then display some settings, and at the top is a shuffle icon you can select to shuffle the songs.
