Sleep Tracker No Longer Working

For approximately 2 weeks my sleep tracker is not registering any sleep! I've down the two button reset many many times and even performed a full factory reset at least 2 times. I'm getting sick of all the problems with this watch. Even email notifications are hit and miss, working sporadically if at all. Has the Ionic had a recent update because losing sleep tracking suddenly doesn't make sense. Perhaps my increased Bpm average and resting is tricking the watch into thinking i'm awake thus no automatic sleep monitor. Thinking of going to apple now as this watch has never really worked fully, Any advice ? Or should i just bite the £280 and fork out another stash for an apple? I've lost the box and receipt so need a fix.

It's nice to see you around the forums @D00nhamer! I'd like to give thanks for the feedback you've provided towards our product. Please know that we provide feedback to our team based on community posts and we are always working on improving our devices and overall environment based on that feedback.

If your Fitbit Ionic is not tracking your sleep stages, make sure that you're getting a solid heart rate reading , since sleep stages requires consistent HR. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight. Also, double check that your watch is charged up.

Additionally, I'd recommend checking the following that could be preventing you from receiving sleep stages:

  • If you used the "Begin Sleep Now" option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed).
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.

For more information about why you see your sleep pattern, tap or click the sleep record that shows your sleep pattern.

Give this a shot and let us know the outcome!
