Hi,

I am new in this community as I just got my fitbit a few weeks ago. I like the feature to select one of a handful of exercises that come with my fitbit to gain more insight. Although I frequently play soccer and volleyball and those don't seem to be apart of set of exercises that are supported.

Can I get an answer if they can be added?

thank you,

-Charkhian

No both soccer and volleyball cannot be added.  But try another exercise that is listed to give you at least some data.  Let me know.

@CharkhianYou use the Workout option from your Exercise suite and then rename the Workout to a name that suits you.  You may need to select Workout as one of your allowed 7 Exercise options in the App.

If the name doesn't exist in your Customize Activities you create that and make sure you sync your tracker.  You can then rename the Workout in your phone App..

I have just tested it for you. Soccer and Volley Ball exist in Fitbits manual activity list and by editing the Workout name you can select those.

A big BUT..... you only have one chance of changing the name..

Also if it asks for a name ... means the name doesn't exist in your Manual or Custom Activities list.

Hi Colinm39,

thank you for the replay.

I am glad to hear that it is possible to accomplish this. Your instruction was difficult to follow. I am not sure if I need to do this from Mobile device app, online webpage, or the fitbit wearable device.

Would you be able to clarify your instructions a little bit?

@CharkhianThanks for getting back..

  • You select Workout on your tracker from the Exercise App, if it's not there you will need to edit the available exercises.  I have reordered mine and Workout is the first exercise.
  • When the Workout is completed by pausing and ending you can then edit it from the Weekly Exercise tile in the App.  You need to sync first.
  • When you tap the Workout you will see the Edit pencil in the top RH corner
  • Tap that and enter the name you want to call your Workout.
  • Then Tap Log it

If it prompts you for a name you will need to add it to your Custom Activities on your PC through the Log Activities and then sync..

But in your case Volleyball and Soccer is already there in Fitbits manual activities so it should work.

You can always edit through the PC Log Activities and again you only get one chance to edit.

I don't want to confuse your original request but there is one exception.... If your tracker auto tracks an exercise you you change that description many times.. If I do heavy gardening the tracker detects that as Outdoor Bike.
