I invested heavily in equipment for a standing office and i stand for hours but my Ionic records the activity as sedentary.  Any suggestions?

My stationary bike records calories-burned at least 2.5 times higher than my Ionic because the closest exercise category is spinning.  Any suggestions?

@Willfit1968The downside of the wrist based trackers is that... They need arm movement to record activity..

I have always multi tracked my wrist based trackers with a Fitbit One my waist.. Last month I tested the Zip for others because the Fitbit One is a discontinued line and I had comparable results.  The Zip and the One were always within 10 steps of each other.. and always about 1500 steps head of the Ionic.. I do all of the shopping.  I started this method because 3 years ago I was pushing my daughters wheelchair after her hip replacement.

Others may suggest you have a tread desk and wear the Ionic on your ankle..

The same with the stationary bike.. On my stationary bike I tuck the Ionic into my sock but only get the cadence with that.  Even tried resting my hand with the Ionic on my knee but no joy there So I rely on the HR to give me the calories.

Even if you purchased a Zip and compared the results it may help you arrive at a method to better record the activity.

Make sure it's on the inside of the ankle because you will get the improved HR there. Also my earlier tests with the Surge, Blaze and the One showing steps comparison for walking and having the like fitbits on opposite sides of the body.. Smiley Happy This is what very retired engineers do... Smiley Tongue to stave off dementia....

You can purchase band extenders from eBay for the Ionic if needed
