Step/Mileage Inaccuracy

Even when I'm not wearing my fitbit iconic or when it is dead it said I had 29000 steps. The other day it said I had 109000 steps. This is a common occurrence; if you saw my information for the last few months you would think I am walking way more than humanly possible. Very Frustrating!

I had this issue with my ionic, it started to add steps occasionally, then it just went in to overdrive and was counting when I was not mobile and sleeping. I contacted Fitbit and they said they would replace it, but as I did not buy it through an authorised  seller (it was a 3rd party re-seller on-line)they could not honor the guarantee. I decided to to contact the seller and they happily replaced it. This was after I had it 12 months.
