Does the distance stat on the app only relate to steps?  I did a ride and it doesn’t show in the distance stat. measurement.

Bicycle rides are not counted in daily distance, except as steps are registered.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I never cared about this stat but you are probably right. There may be a slight change in the Distance when you cycling on the bumpy surface and Ionic will detect extra steps. I believe it's just related to the step-based activities ( run/walk/hike etc. ).
