In the past three days, my Ionic has credited steps to me that have not been taken. On Monday morning, I awoke to already having 2,000 steps on my display. I was not even wearing the device overnight as I do not like to wear a watch to sleep in. There was nothing new in my environment to cause that malfunction. I shut down the watch, removed it from my phone and repaired them upon powering back up. Tuesday morning, the device has credited me a small number of steps (270), but nothing like the day before. This morning (Wednesday), the device started with a 1,000 steps and added another 1,800 before I even left home............all while not wearing it.
Any ideas?

Best AnswerDo you have it near a vibrating source like a fan? The vibrations will cause the Ionic to pick up false steps.

one cruise ship at a time!Unfortunately........no I do not. It was working fine for the last three months or so (it was a Christmas gift). Then this week, with no external infliuence, it began malfunctioning.
