Stopped syncing

The app is no longer recognising that my iPhone’s Bluetooth is switched on and so won’t sync. I also get intermittent connectivity issues with the WiFi connection.

I’ve updated to latest IOS. I’ve undertaken a reset (holding left middle & right bottom button).

How do I solve this? NB I really do not want to lose data by doing a factory reset.

I have the same issue. I think that began when I updated my IOS to 11.4 and I've the last firmware in the Ionic (32.10.20)

My Ionic connect and disconnect many times, and my clock began to delayed. In the morning, I was 15 minutes of difference between the iPhone and the watch.

I remove the device and paring again, but the issue persist.

I see the link that sent in the reply, but my Ionic always sync very well in the past, until the updates.

Thank you for your response to my inquiry.

I have now checked out and followed the syncing troubleshoots for IOS devices as you have advised.

Having gone though the whole process set out in “Why wont my Fit Bit sync” and every step in “If your device still wont sync, try these steps” I finally got to step 6: - “If my Fitbit doesn't sync, restart it” before getting a successful result.

But, my question is - Why does this keep happening? Why do I have to keep restarting the device? I have only owned the device 5 weeks but this is the fourth or fifth time I have had to restart the device to get it to sync.

I do not have any other devices connected by Bluetooth.
I downloaded the latest IOS software last week when the device would not sync.
I downloaded the latest Fitbit app update (OS 2.1?) and Fitbit device firmware (30.10.20) at the first opportunity which was last night. I had hoped this would mean I would no longer have a problem this morning, but no - more red band messages telling me I haven’t switched the Bluetooth on - when I have. Hence I have followed your advice, step by step this morning and once again, had to restart the device to get it to sync.

Additionally I seem to have a problem with Wifi Settings.

Although today's Fitbit device restart had resulted in a successful sync I am getting a red band message at the top of the dashboard telling me I must connect to the internet to view historical data. I have also had this message before, a number of times.

I reconnected to my network last night after downloading the new app update and firmware. But now I apparently don't have a connection, nor can I get one. Clicking on Wifi settings in the Fitbit app just results in an ever circling wheel and the word “waiting”. NB: the phone is connected to the network and all other Wifi connections are working. Its just the Fitbit app / device that won't connect and doesn't recognise there is a connection.

What is going on? I love my Ionic when it works but it's unreliability is becoming unacceptable.
