Are the only activities you can view from the Strava app 'Runs'? I have done a run and a walk using the Ionic to track (gps enabled in both cases) but only the run appears in the ionic strava app. If i log onto my strava account online or go into the fitbit app, both run and walk are there. A bit frustrating that I can only seem to view run acitivites on the watch so far (no walks or other workouts).

Unfortunately walks aren't displayed in the Ionic Strava app, only runs and bike rides. The only work around I can find is to log your walk as a run on the Ionic, it will then display in the Strava app on the device. I'm not sure if this will have an effect on the calories burned or not though, I haven't got round to a controlled test yet.

Not sure what the criteria are, or why your walks aren’t showing but my bike rides show up, so it’s not limited to runs. That said, I have found that some of my rides don’t, namely the virtual ones, where I’ve used a gps driven smart trainer (Tacx Neo).
The Strava app on the Ionic is a bit of a fudge at the moment. Many are hoping for a significant update.

Thanks for letting me know it is not limited to runs. I am more interested in maintaining my running stats but would be nice if it would track walks as well. Would be even better if we could view all activities such as weight training and martial arts on the watch itself. But maybe in time!

Thanks for the clarification @N8teGee The app needs a lot of work to be of any real use.

I completely agree. It does seem rather half hearted at the moment, but the same could be said for the whole app experience so far.

Not 100% sure but if you use the walk in one of your seven chosen exercises it then tracks your walk in strava as it activates the gps im sure it showed my walk on strava.

That is interesting that you had a walk log because I did use the walking activity and Gps was enabled. If I go to strava and edit my "walk" to be a "run" activity it then shows up on my watch. Otherwise I only can view it in the app.

Huh good to know! That's how mine shows up within my actual strava phone app but not on my ionic. I'll have to try again. Thanks for letting me know this function was working for you.

Yes walks show correctly in the strava phone app and website. What we are talking about is the strava app on the Ionic device itself, that only displays runs and bike rides. Are you able to see any walks in the app on the Ionic?
Thanks.
