Swim Stats on iPhone and PC Lacking

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Maybe I can’t find it, but I get no Swim stats on the iPhone after a swim.

on the PC, I see most of the swims are auto recognized but the data is still limited. I get 100 yard time average but I can’t drill down and see 100 yard times during a one mile swim. Only the average for the whole mile.

am I missing something? Especially for the iPhone. I can’t see any swim days even though I can see them in the PC web interface login of my account.

This is frustrating. The main reason I got the Iconic was the promotion by FitBit if tracking and reviewing swim data.

Thank you.

Matt

@SunsetRunner Welcome to the Community. Thanks for the details mentioned.

I'll be happy to clarify your question about the swim stats that you should have on your iPhone. Sorry to hear how this situation has made you feel.

Once you have tracked a swimming activity and you sync your Ionic you could review your exercise history in the Fitbit app and in the online Dashboard. The same data you're seeing in your online Dashboard should be available in the Fitbit app.

I would like you to provide me with a screenshot of the data you're seeing on your Fitbit app and in your online Dashboard for the same swim that you track.

Keep me posted about your swim stats.

Hi.  Just to be clear, when I swim, I tell the FitBit watch that I'm going to swim and then I look at the watch once in a while, during the swim, to make sure it's counting time and laps (sometimes it stops counting and resets like I never asked it to record the swim).  When I'm done swimming, I press Pause, and then Finish, and then one last button to show the activity is complete.  I get a message saying the activity was recorded or something like that.

While I can find minimal data on a swim (sometimes) that I recorded on the PC web application, I never can find any swim data on my iPhone FitBit application after I sync up the watch and the phone.
Each picture I have attached to this email is labeled as a screenshot on either my PC or on my iPhone.  Note, I cannot find any swim data, EVER, on the iPhone FitBit application. That is why I submitted this question/comment to the FitBit Community.

On the PC web login to FitBit.com, I can only see the swim overall stats.  I can't see individual lap times or individual 100 yard lap times.  I only see the average 100 yard lap time for the entire swim.  I thought I used to be able to see every 100 yard lap grouping time during the swim.  So if I swam 1000 yards, I'd see 10 different 100 yard lap times and see if I was swimming slower at the beginning, middle, or end of the swim, for example.  Now, I only see the average for the entire 1000 yard swim, for example.
On the iPhone, I record and save swim data.  The FitBit watch monitors the time and number of laps just fine during the swim (most of the time).  When I'm done, I press three times to pause, and complete the swim per the instructions on the watch.
On the PC, I don't always see the swim.  Even though I recorded the swim, some of the swims never show up on the PC for some reason.

This is a pretty simple question.  Shouldn't I be able to see my swim data on the iPhone FitBit application?  I can't find them by looking at all the iPhone FitBit application options on the day of the swim.  I've never found one swim.
>From what I can see, the iPhone and PC applications don't display (consistently) the swim data.  I bought the watch to use for swimming.  It's advertised to do that.  Why can't I see the swims on the iPhone FitBit application?  Why do some of the swims not show up on the PC?  I always complete the swim on the FitBit watch and press the three buttons making sure I complete the swim on the FitBit watch.
Thank you,
Matt

Additionally, I was just looking at the FitBit watch under the SETUP for swims and, during the swim, you can display a lot of options on the FitBit watch.  So it must be recording all those things like: Pool Length, Pace, Pace (Average), Calories, Time of Day, Lap Time, Lap Distance, Elapsed Time, Distance, etc.

Why isn't this type of data available in the detailed review on the PC online dashboard or the iPhone FitBit application?  Maybe I have something set wrong.  Thank you.

SilviaFitbit, I replied via an email yesterday, I believe, and attached about four screenshots.  Did you get them?  I don't see that particular email in the problem discussion messages.  I wanted to see if you got the screenshots and could answer some basic questions.  Thank you.  MattSwim

@SunsetRunner Thanks for getting back. I didn't receive the screenshots, you may want to follow these steps to make sure you're attaching screenshots to your next reply.

When you sync your swim activity to your Fitbit app, it will show lengths and calories burned. However, when you're seeing this information on your online Dashboard, it will show you calories burned and not lengths. Also, you could review a post-workout summary on your Ionic.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

I did reply to the actual email.  Apparently that doesn't work.  So I logged into the website and transfered files that way.

You state that when I sync a swim activity, that it shows lengths and calories.  I have never seen "lengths" on the iPhone FitBit app.  No swim data is shown on the iPhone FitBit app ever.

Do you work for FitBit?  I don't see any responses to my very specific questions.

Thank you.

Hi,

I see there's a variety of issues raised here, but the main one is that the summary of stats displayed at the end of the swim on the watch is for more comprehensive (time per lap for example) than the the stats available in the App or online.

This seems incongruous, as, for example, the data that the watch records during a run with GPS attached is all transferred to the App and available online, so I'm not sure why the swim stats are not transferred and available for review.

And, logically, people want to see their lap times and how they compare, not just calories burned.

Regards

Bee
