Does my Ionic have a built-in GPS?

How do I switch this off permanently?

I have no wish to have my movements tracked.

Yes, the ionic has built-in GPS

However, it is only used when you track an exercise and choose to use GPS. You can't permanently disable it but you control if and when it is turned on.

You can turn OFF GPS on the Fitbit.com Dashboard on an Android phone and a Windows computer by clicking on the gear icon at the upper right and then Settings and then Ionic.  Scroll down to GPS. After setting, sync your tracker.

I just go to the exercise option/screen (on Fitbit watch) hit the settings icon on top left corner and there's an option to turn it off during exercise. I don't think it tracks otherwise. Isn't suppose to anyway.
