Just bought a Fitbit ionic last week for using gps but so far it’s not fit for purpose. I can track a run but then I get it to sync to Strava. I have tried connecting up a few times

I'll be more than glad to give you a hand with the issues that you're having when tracking GPS activities from your Ionic to be transferred to Strava. Please take a look of this post, where you will find very useful information about a similar issue.
